| Radiographic Equipment is the first of nine modules in the Radiographic Imaging program. You will be introduced to several types of radiographic equipment and their components. You'll learn the purposes of different types of equipment and be introduced to basic types of radiation protection. |

| Objectives |
On completion of this module, you should be able to:
1. Define the important terms in the module.
2. Give a brief history of radiography from Dr. Roentgen's experiments to the present.
3. Describe the differences between radiography and fluoroscopy and give examples of how each is used.
4. Describe several different types of general purpose and dedicated radiographic units.
5. Describe at least four types of tube suspension systems.
6. Explain why radiation protection is important.
7. Explain the difference between primary and secondary radiation protection. |
