Protecting Healthcare Workers through Immunization...COMING SOON! (0 credit hours)

Patient safety is the goal of immunization programs for health care facilities. Health care workers play an essential role in preventing the transmission of disease and immunity to diseases which are preventable by vaccine is essential. This program was developed to educate workers about the important requirements and regulations which were designed to protect them and the public from devastating disease.

This module will examine current immunization recommendations for all adults in working or volunteering in health care settings, and the rationale for each immunization. The importance of annual Influenza vaccine will be discussed. Learners will understand the importance of the maintenance of personal health records and responsibility for keeping immunizations up to date.
